Position Overview

As a Specifications Manager, your primary responsibility will be to drive sales across the Western and Central regions of the United States. This role requires significant travel across multiple states, engaging in direct interactions with water utility districts. You will be expected to conduct planned meetings, deliver impactful presentations using specialized demonstration tools, and showcase our products effectively. The Specifications Manager will oversee a team of professionals, ensuring high performance and accountability within the department. You will adapt plans and priorities to meet operational challenges, guided by established policies and procedures. Additionally, you will provide technical support to team members and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage in face-to-face meetings with water utility districts within the assigned territory.
  • Conduct scheduled calls and presentations to introduce products and solutions.
  • Utilize demonstration tools to effectively showcase our product systems.
  • Employ handheld tools for practical product demonstrations.
  • Collaborate with manufacturer representatives across various states to facilitate utility calls.
  • Work closely with representatives to establish connections with utilities and distribution networks.
  • Secure written specifications from utilities in accordance with formal city guidelines.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to compile necessary documentation and streamline the approval process.
  • Participate in monthly industry meetings to present opportunities.
  • Maintain a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system for tracking sales activities.
  • Attend regional trade shows to network with customers and industry experts.
Qualifications & Experience

  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience with CRM tools such as Dynamics 365 or Salesforce is advantageous.
  • Completion of training in organizational skills, time management, and effective communication is desirable.
  • Familiarity with general construction practices is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail are essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
