Job Summary

In this role, you will be responsible for increasing sales in our Kentucky Market by identifying new business opportunities, expanding existing relationships with current clients, and following up on potential leads.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth in the Kentucky Market
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with current and potential clients to increase sales and market share
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify emerging markets and develop plans to expand revenue
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication
  • Attend quarterly business reviews with suppliers to understand business outlook and opportunities
  • Work with local and regional suppliers to create partnerships that position the company as the primary distributor of choice
  • Attend and conduct client product training to ensure effective product knowledge transfer
  • Follow up on every level of the sales cycle for key customers to ensure timely and complete fulfillment of customer expectations
  • Answer and resolve key customer technical questions, problems, and complaints in a timely manner to provide the highest level of service available
  • Maintain market awareness on competitor activities, industry trends, and new concepts to identify potential opportunities for company growth
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Engineering and/or Component Sales
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge, understanding, and/or experience in technical sales
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills
  • Strong computer skills and understanding of Excel
  • Valid state driver's license, safe driving record, and insurability by the company's liability carrier
  • Willingness to travel in assigned territory up to 50% of the time
