ROLE SUMMARY

The Procurement Specialist, reporting to the Strategic Sourcing Director, plays a crucial role in Richemont's operations across Latin America. This position is essential for optimizing indirect procurement and sourcing initiatives within the Maisons and Functions, while also driving cost savings in the region. The ideal candidate will be a resourceful individual with strong relationship-building capabilities, self-motivation, analytical prowess, and sourcing expertise. They will assist in spearheading regional sourcing initiatives and implementing best practice purchasing strategies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Sourcing Strategy:

  • Assist the region in achieving Sourcing and Procurement goals established by Central Procurement.
  • Facilitate the development of strategic sourcing plans within critical spending categories for Latin America, ensuring alignment with quality, delivery, and cost expectations from stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with Category Managers in Central Procurement, as well as with the Maisons and Functions, to formalize procurement strategies, policies, and procedures.
Quality & Customer Service:
  • Conduct RFx events, lead negotiations, and create contracts for significant initiatives in the region.
  • Provide ongoing training to stakeholders regarding compliance requirements and harmonization opportunities.
  • Oversee supplier performance evaluations, including remediation, renegotiations, and total cost of ownership reductions.
Financial Management:
  • Accountable for delivering cost savings and avoidance through the comprehensive sourcing process in the region.
  • Support and enhance Richemont Americas' competitive edge through exemplary agreements.
  • Identify strategic cost-saving opportunities through category analysis, spend data, and business requirements from the Maisons and Functions.
Innovation:
  • Promote creative, value-driven sourcing strategies aligned with business needs.
  • Enhance procurement processes to improve efficiency and compliance.
  • Collaborate across various business functions to optimize the procure-to-pay cycle.
Sustainability:
  • Ensure suppliers adhere to the Richemont Supplier Code of Conduct.
  • Align with Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives and integrate them into the RFx process.
  • Establish cross-functional partnerships to advocate for procurement guiding principles within each Maison.
QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in procurement or sourcing.
  • Project management skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, both spoken and written.

Travel Requirements:
