Job Description

Our client, a leading fashion brand, is seeking a highly skilled Freelance Production Manager to join their team. As a key member of the production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the production and delivery of women's apparel products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Production Management: Assist the production team with production and delivery-related tasks, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of products.
  • Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for cross-functional teams, categories, and external vendors, maintaining open communication and resolving issues promptly.
  • Quality Control: Monitor production from PO placement to receipt in the warehouse, ensuring high-quality products meet customer expectations.
  • Leadership: Provide guidance and support to the production team, promoting efficient leadership and operational excellence.
  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors to mitigate delay risks, monitor on-time delivery, and negotiate final costing.
  • Reporting: Communicate delivery status and changes to Merch teams, providing weekly updates on production progress.
  • Problem-Solving: Evaluate delay requests, recommend desired ship modes, and ensure vendors follow through on commitments.
Requirements:
  • Project Management Skills: Outstanding project management skills, with 6-7 years of prior experience in fashion product management, production, or project management.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple work streams in parallel.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly in Excel, and experience with purchasing systems and PLM (SAP experience ideal).
  • Garment Production Experience: Experience in garment production is highly preferable.
  • Operational Excellence: Strong knowledge of operational excellence and research skills applicable in any company or industry.
