Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Area Supervisor to join our team at FPI Management, Inc. As an Area Supervisor, you will be responsible for assisting the Portfolio Manager in managing a group of assets, enforcing company policies and procedures, and performing duties under their direction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership: Exercise initiative, independent analysis, and judgment to verify property maintenance and enforce company policies.
  • Client Relations: Carry out the philosophies and wishes of the Owner in daily operations to ensure FPI meets client objectives and expectations.
  • Communication: Maintain positive, professional, and effective communication with applicants, residents, vendors, clients, and guests while representing FPI.
  • Employee Management: Assist in recruiting, training, and onboarding of on-site personnel, and ensure compliance with various department requirements.
  • Leasing/Occupancy: Evaluate and support on-site teams to achieve occupancy levels and assist in evaluating rent and concessions based on market conditions.
  • Revenue Management: Consistently evaluate additional income opportunities and expense reductions, and monitor and support on-site teams in efficient collections of delinquency, RUBS, bad debt, etc.
  • Reporting and Document Management: Verify property maintenance of required forms, leases, documents, and other necessary forms, and ensure compliance with periodic reporting requirements.
  • Risk Management Items: Ensure compliance of risk management items through following FPI Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Facility Maintenance: Monitor project budgets, maintain awareness of current financials, and alert the FPI Management Executive Committee of any recommended changes.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of Community Director experience with 250 units or more.
  • Preferred experience in residential property management, retail, sales, or customer service.
  • Valid driver's license and insured operable vehicle.
  • Must be proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
  • High School diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • Must have experience in affordable housing programs, including LIHTC, HUD programs, USDA-Rural Development, HCD, HOME Funds, and Bonds.
