Job Summary:The Certified Nursing Assistant is responsible for providing various patient care activities and related nonprofessional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients. This includes assisting with patient cleaning, feeding, and preparation for treatment, taking and recording vital signs, changing bed linen, preparing treatment trays and other supplies, and assisting nursing service personnel with a variety of other patient care duties.
Responsibilities:- Patient Care: Assist with patient cleaning, feeding, and preparation for treatment, take and record vital signs, change bed linen, prepare treatment trays and other supplies, and assist nursing service personnel with patient care duties.
- Quality: Document patient care on appropriate forms accurately and legibly, and demonstrate knowledge of unit-based quality improvement initiatives.
- Collaboration & Partnership: Follow instructions issued by nurses and hospital policies, and effectively assist with admission and/or discharge of patients.
- Other Duties: Complete other duties as assigned, and actively participate on unit teams, work groups, and/or committees as requested.
- High School or equivalent
- Completion of a CNA training program
- Communication and customer service skills, problem-solving ability, initiative, and good judgment
- CNA licensure
