About the Team

The Customer Success (CS) team at Stripe is dedicated to fostering revenue growth across Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies by assisting a diverse range of users in activating, expanding, and optimizing their performance on our platform.

Role Overview

We are in search of enthusiastic and inquisitive Customer Success Managers to help develop Stripe's scaled Customer Success Advisory approach within our Commercial segment. This position offers a unique chance to influence how we support our Commercial customers and to define impactful strategies for engagement at scale.

Advisory Customer Success Managers will be responsible for a portfolio of Commercial customers, ensuring their success, growth, and optimal utilization of Stripe's services. The ideal candidate will possess a builder's mindset, demonstrating both analytical and creative skills while enjoying the process of defining and implementing new operational frameworks. This role will involve close collaboration with sales teams, partner managers, and operational units to engage customers in discussions related to products, payments, technical matters, and risk management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and refine processes to effectively engage users across the Commercial segment at scale.
  • Oversee the overall health of Commercial customer accounts through proactive outreach and operational assistance.
  • Act as a trusted advisor on payments and product matters for managed customers, delivering valuable insights and optimization strategies.
  • Monitor a diverse portfolio of customers and initiate proactive measures to mitigate potential issues and escalations.

Essential Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a client-facing capacity, ideally in customer success, consulting, financial services, account management, or sales, preferably with a technical product.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to comprehend the drivers and strategies behind our users' businesses.
  • Proven track record of leading technical discussions and persuading stakeholders to take action based on identified needs and value propositions.
  • Excellent analytical capabilities and the ability to navigate data and interpersonal dynamics to derive solutions.
  • Strong organizational skills and effective time management abilities.
  • A commanding business presence and exceptional presentation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse range of individuals, both internally and externally, including sales and service teams.
  • A proactive and adaptable mindset suited for a high-growth, dynamic environment.

Hybrid Work Model at Stripe

Employees assigned to an office are expected to spend at least 50% of their time in their local office or engaging with users each month. This approach balances the need for in-person collaboration and learning with the flexibility to accommodate individual and team preferences.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual base salary range for this position is $124,900 - $187,400. For roles in sales, this range reflects the On Target Earnings (OTE), which includes both sales commissions and the annual base salary. This salary range may encompass various career levels at Stripe and will be refined during the interview process based on factors such as the candidate's experience, qualifications, and location. Candidates located outside the US may inquire about the salary range applicable to their location during the interview process.
