Position Overview:

The Wind Energy Technician I plays a crucial role in the operational efficiency of our wind energy facilities. This entry-level position involves hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of wind turbine systems and associated equipment. The technician will be responsible for adhering to safety protocols and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations while performing their duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of wind turbines and related equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Implement safety measures and participate in Lock-Out-Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Identify and address safety risks, providing recommendations for improvements to enhance operational safety.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate any operational issues to management.
  • Document maintenance activities and adhere to internal reporting protocols.
  • Engage in continuous learning and training to stay updated on industry best practices.
  • Assist in coordinating with remote operations teams as necessary.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is preferred.
  • Basic mechanical skills and understanding of wind turbine operations.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a related field is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with safety standards and maintenance practices in the energy sector.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass background checks.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including climbing and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Willingness to work in various weather conditions and at heights.
