About the Role

The Jackson Laboratory is seeking a highly skilled HVAC Technician I to join our facilities team. As an HVAC Technician I, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of complex HVAC systems, including commercial and industrial grade heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and Maintain HVAC Systems: Operate, maintain, install, repair, replace, troubleshoot, test, and respond to routine and emergency service calls as they relate to HVAC systems and its components.
  • Assist in Design and Installation: Assist in the design, installation, and commissioning of new and modification of existing HVAC and Process Equipment Systems and its components.
  • Support Building Automation Systems: Assist with maintenance and operation of Building Automation System, Fire Protection Systems, Security Systems, Utility Plant Systems, Lighting, Building Maintenance, and other tasks as they apply to demands of the department.
  • Provide Training and Mentoring: Provide training and mentoring to others in the operation and repair of HVAC & Process Equipment Systems and its components.
  • Utilize CMMS: Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track and preventive and corrective maintenance tasks and create work orders.
Requirements
  • Education: Vocational/Technical Degree
  • Experience: None required
  • Certifications: Trade licenses & certifications will be held in high regard. Certification in confined space entry or ability to qualify within 6 months.
