Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Equipment Sanitation Technician to join our team at Johnsonville. As a key member of our sanitation team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the cleanliness and safety of our production equipment and facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare production equipment for cleaning by locking out machinery and covering all necessary electrical equipment with plastic.
  • Teardown equipment according to best practice within the department to prepare for sanitation.
  • Properly handle and use cleaning and sanitizing chemicals.
  • Dry clean, pre-rinse, foam, scrub, post rinse, wipe condensation, and sanitize production equipment to meet Johnsonville's and USDA's standards of acceptability.
  • Conduct environmental and bioluminescence swabbing.
  • Setup equipment according to best practice within the department to prepare for production.
  • Accurately complete sanitation and production documentation paperwork.
  • Ensure timely completion of the MSS (Master Sanitation Schedule) tasks.

Requirements:

  • Sanitation experience preferred.
  • Ability to work at heights above ground level.
  • Ability to lift 60 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Basic knowledge of Hazardous Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP's).
  • Ability to identify Critical Control Points (CCPs) in area of responsibility and maintain all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Dependability, honesty, and proactivity.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong math background.
  • Ability to become certified in chemical usage.
  • Willingness to work in cold and wet conditions.
  • Ability to obtain forklift license and maintain a safe driving record.
  • Willingness to work extended hours, including weekends.
