Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Equipment Sanitation Specialist to join our team at Johnsonville. As a key member of our sanitation team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality in our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the production of high-quality sausage products by ensuring that all equipment and facilities meet the highest standards of sanitation and food safety.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve World Class results in safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Develop and implement best practices for sanitation and food safety, including the use of cleaning and sanitizing chemicals.
  • Conduct environmental and bioluminescence swabbing to ensure that all areas meet Johnsonville's and USDA's standards of acceptability.
  • Prepare production equipment for cleaning by locking out machinery and covering all electrical equipment with plastic.
  • Participate in daily meetings and project teams to drive results and establish best practices.
Requirements
  • Basic sanitation experience desired.
  • Ability to work at heights that are above ground level is required.
  • Be able to lift 60 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Have basic knowledge of Hazardous Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP's).
  • Must be able to identify Critical Control Points (CCPs) in area of responsibility and maintain all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Must be dependable, honest and proactive.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Strong math background is required.
  • Must be able to become certified in chemical usage.
  • Willing to work in cold and wet conditions.
  • Must be able to work overtime if necessary.
