Job Summary

Parker Hannifin Corporation Parker Aerospace Group is seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler 2 - Fans & Pumps to join their team. As a key member of the production team, this individual will be responsible for performing medium mechanical assembly work, including assembling machined parts, applying mechanical assembly skills, and troubleshooting mechanical failures with support from supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble machined parts and apply mechanical assembly skills to ensure high-quality products.
  • Riveting, hydraulics, bonding, and torque assembly tasks will be performed with precision and attention to detail.
  • Read blueprints and work instructions to ensure accurate assembly and troubleshooting.
  • Perform failure analyses and troubleshoot mechanical failures with support from supervision.
  • Rework parts to print per instructions and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Able to work on a variety of tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by management.


Requirements

  • A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Certifications: Vocational training, apprenticeships, or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • 2-6 years of relevant experience in mechanical assembly.
  • Good understanding of products and processes.
  • Able to troubleshoot assembly issues with support from supervision and work a variety of tasks.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Ability to communicate in English and add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Position requires strong teamwork/cooperative abilities and the ability to work independently.
  • Position involves ability to frequently or constantly exert up to 20 pounds of force and occasionally exert up to 50 pounds of force to move/lift objects.
