Mechanical Source Inspection Specialist

Job Description:

The Mechanical Source Inspection Specialist will travel to various supplier facilities to perform visual and dimensional inspections on manufactured parts, assemblies, and/or sub-assemblies. The inspector will be required to report inspection accept/reject information directly to the customer via web application. The ideal candidate will have direct Aerospace work experience, including aircraft manufacturing, detail fabrication, and machined parts.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections on manufactured parts, assemblies, and/or sub-assemblies
  • Report inspection accept/reject information directly to the customer via web application
  • Travel to various supplier facilities to conduct inspections
  • Have direct Aerospace work experience, including aircraft manufacturing, detail fabrication, and machined parts

Requirements:

  • Ability to understand complex engineering drawings and specifications (ANSI-Y-14.5)
  • Minimum of six (6) years hands-on experience in the aircraft industry performing applicable product verification and supplier surveillance tasks
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English with effective communication skills
  • Extensive and broad-ranging aircraft commodity knowledge and experience
  • Must be familiar with First Article Inspection (FAI) and Flight Safety Products
  • Must have personal computer with e-mail and internet access
  • Must have a working cell phone
  • Must pass the Basic Mechanical Test with a score of 84% or higher
  • Experience with Digital Data - reading/interpreting only

Working with Verify:

The Mechanical Source Inspection Specialist will work closely with the Verify team to ensure that all inspections are conducted to the highest standards. The ideal candidate will be able to communicate effectively with the team and provide regular updates on inspection progress.
