Position Overview
The role of Gene Editing & Plant Transformation Scientist I focuses on improving soybean transformation processes, developing gene-edited events, and advancing CRISPR technologies. This position necessitates a strong foundation in CRISPR molecular biology, expertise in plant transformation techniques, collaboration with research and development teams, mentorship of junior staff, and contributions to the company’s intellectual property portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
- Execute soybean plant transformation
- Investigate CRISPR mechanisms

Qualifications
- PhD or Master's degree preferred (Bachelor's degree with 2 years of relevant experience accepted)
- Expertise in Plant Biology, Genetics, Molecular Biology, and Bioinformatics
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in plant transformation and gene editing
- Familiarity with CRISPR molecular biology and next-generation sequencing library preparation

Skills Required
- Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Smartsheet
- Knowledge of bioinformatics and statistical analysis tools
