Job Summary:

As a Resident Assistant at Homewood at Spring House Estates, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents. Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, promoting independence and dignity
  • Provide clean, dry linen and make beds as needed
  • Encourage proper nutrition and assist with meal service
  • Perform resident treatments as assigned by the Community Nurse or RN House Supervisor
  • Observe and record resident information, reporting changes in condition or need
  • Participate in planning resident care and promote activity of daily living according to the resident's service plan
Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and transfer 30 pounds of resident weight frequently
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, and turn constantly throughout an eight-hour shift
  • Organizational skills and ability to do sequential events
  • CPR certification and basic First Aid
  • Motivation and desire to work with geriatric persons
  • Ability to speak English at a level residents can understand
  • Ability to read and write in English to carry out functions related to the care plans and provide appropriate resident care
