Compensation:
$37,591.00

Job Overview:
This role involves routine custodial duties aimed at maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the facility.

The responsibilities include a variety of tasks such as cleaning, performing minor repairs, and setting up rooms for events.

The working hours are from 4:30 PM to 1:00 AM, Monday through Friday. Additionally, this position offers a $400 annual allowance for work attire.

Salary Range:
The typical hiring range is between $37,440 and $39,506, depending on qualifications, education, and experience relevant to the role.

Key Responsibilities:
(The following tasks are illustrative and not exhaustive.)

  • Ensure all floor surfaces are well-maintained.
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, restocking supplies as needed.
  • Dust and polish furniture and woodwork.
  • Maintain cleanliness of all interior surfaces.
  • Collect and dispose of waste materials.
  • Secure the building at the end of each shift.
  • Operate and perform basic maintenance on custodial equipment.
  • Report maintenance issues to the Lead Custodian.
  • May be required to perform basic maintenance tasks.

Supervision:
Work is generally performed in pairs, although staff may occasionally work independently based on circumstances such as absences.

Supervisory Role:
This position does not include direct supervision of other staff members.

Independent Judgment:
Must be able to work independently and apply past experience to make sound decisions.

Minimum Qualifications:
EDUCATION and/or

EXPERIENCE:

A high school diploma or GED equivalent is generally required, along with knowledge of safe cleaning practices and equipment.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge:
  • Familiarity with safety standards and practices.
  • Understanding of materials and methods used in cleaning and maintenance.

Skills:
  • Ability to read and understand warning labels and instructions.
  • Capability to follow both oral and written instructions and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Proficiency in basic mathematical concepts.

Abilities:
  • Ability to apply common sense to execute instructions provided in written or verbal form.
  • Willingness to learn and master essential custodial tasks.
  • Capacity to work independently or as part of a small team.
  • Skill in operating mechanized cleaning equipment.

Certifications and Licenses:
  • A valid driver's license is required upon hire, along with proof of insurance. A review of the driving record will be conducted at the time of hire and periodically thereafter.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check is mandatory.

Work Environment:
Physical Work Environment:
This role involves the use of various cleaning chemicals and equipment.

Physical Demands:
The position requires frequent lifting and carrying of up to 50 lbs, as well as pushing and pulling weights of up to 100 lbs. Regular bending, squatting, standing, climbing, kneeling, and walking are also necessary.

Equipment Used:
Work is primarily conducted indoors, with exposure to dust, fumes, and cleaning chemicals.

Availability via mobile device or email during and after scheduled hours is expected.


Additional Information:
All employees are expected to assist in maintaining operations during emergencies or disasters, which may require additional duties and hours beyond the regular schedule.
