Accounting Specialist Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist to join our team at Ste Michelle Wine Estates. As an Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, including the general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile and analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Prepare and review financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve financial issues and improve financial processes
  • Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to support business decisions

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in accounting and financial operations
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and ERP systems
  • Experience with data visualization tools, such as Power BI or Tableau
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
