Job Summary:
The Tlingit Haida Tribal Business Corporation (THTBC) is a well-established organization with over 30 years of experience as a trusted contractor in the US and globally. We are seeking a dedicated General Maintenance Worker specializing in weed control and grounds maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance tasks related to grounds services, focusing on weed control and assisting with snow removal.
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions, demonstrating adaptability and resilience.
Physical Requirements:
Employees must be capable of:
- Engaging in physical activities such as sitting, standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting objects up to 75 pounds.
- Using tools and equipment effectively while communicating with team members through radios and other means.
- Maintaining visual acuity for reading maps and computer screens.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of two years of relevant experience or formal vocational training.
- Possession of a current certificate/license in Colorado.
- Required certifications include Colorado Category 106 (Forest Pest Control), 109 (Industrial Right-of-Way), and 206/207 (Turf and Ornamental Pest Control).
- Ability to pass a drug/alcohol test and a criminal background check.
- Must be able to lift at least 75 lbs.
Work Environment:
This role involves outdoor work with exposure to varying noise levels and weather conditions. Employees may encounter dust, particulates, and potentially hazardous substances.
