About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Garage Door Technician to join our team at Precision Door Service. As a Garage Door Technician, you will be responsible for repairing and installing garage door parts and equipment on-site at our customers' locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair garage doors, door operators, and replace worn or broken door parts
  • Install new equipment, including doors and springs
  • Educate customers on their options to repair the issue and prevent future ones
  • Sell services, repairs, and new equipment to customers using our proven model
  • Collect payment from customers
  • Manage inventory in your vehicle

Requirements:

  • Mechanical aptitude and technical skills
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds independently
  • Ability to bend, climb, kneel, and stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work in the heat and cold, both outside and inside garages that may not be temperature-controlled
  • Interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with customers and solve issues
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliability and ability to serve customers following our process

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the garage door industry (training will be provided)
  • Ability to use a computer and/or tablet
  • Ability to use hand tools and operate mechanical equipment
