Job Overview

The Hiring Group is a technical staffing and recruiting firm seeking an experienced Automation Controls Specialist to join their team. This role will be based in the United States.

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.

Job Description

This position involves designing, developing, and implementing automation systems for various industries. The successful candidate will have expertise in programmable logic controllers (PLCs), human-machine interfaces (HMIs), and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Designing and configuring complex automation systems
  • Developing and implementing PLC programs using GRAFCET, Ladder Logic, and Structured Text
  • Configuring and communicating with HMIs and SCADA systems
  • Ensuring system security and performing risk assessments
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate automation systems with existing infrastructure

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electromechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical experience with 4 or more years of engineering experience
  • Expertise in PLC programming standards and software, including Rockwell platforms
  • Experience with HMI configuration, programming, and communication, preferably with Rockwell platforms
  • Familiarity with Siemens platforms is a plus
  • Desirable skills include experience with vision system configuration and interface for width measurement applications and defect detection applications, robotic experience, electrical design standards, and CAD design tools such as SEE Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical, or AutoCAD Electrical
