Wound Care Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking a qualified and compassionate skilled nurse to provide high-quality wound care services to residents in our long-term care facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer daily wound treatment as ordered by physicians, ensuring resident comfort and safety.
- Conduct regular skin audits and follow up on any concerns or issues identified.
- Develop and implement individualized prevention and treatment plans for each resident.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
- Provide timely updates to the Director of Nursing on resident wound status.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance wound care practices.
Requirements:
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care facility, or other healthcare-related setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Working Conditions:
The successful candidate will interact with residents, family members, staff, and visitors under all conditions. They may be subject to emotionally challenging situations, frequent interruptions, and exposure to infectious waste and diseases.
Estimated Salary Range: $68,000 - $88,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
