Job Title: Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery

Inova Health System is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team at Inova Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, Virginia.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in our Labor and Delivery unit. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting, with a strong preference for 2+ years of L&D experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide knowledgeable and caring clinical practice and care coordination through an understanding of patient, family, nurse, and healthcare delivery team.
  • Communicate effectively and work cooperatively with others, having respect for and understanding of other clinical disciplines.
  • Serve as an empowering body to influence patient empowerment, and successful outcomes of financial and clinical quality, through relationships and access-based knowledge.
  • Ensure improvements in practice settings by assuming responsibility for self-development in lifelong learning.
Requirements:
  • Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Virginia or hold a privilege to practice in the State of Virginia under the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association required upon start.
  • Proficient in English, strong verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to display a caring demeanor towards others.
