Job Summary:We are looking for a compassionate and experienced RN to provide care to postpartum patients in our acute care setting. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting, with a strong preference for 2 years of postpartum care experience.
Responsibilities:- Provide knowledgeable and caring clinical practice and care coordination through an understanding of patient, family, nurse, and healthcare delivery team.
- Communicate effectively and work cooperatively with others, demonstrating respect for and understanding of other clinical disciplines.
- Ensure improvements in practice settings by assuming responsibility for self-development in lifelong learning.
- Provide direction and guidance to others regarding practice, serving as a resource, preceptor, and mentor.
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Virginia or hold a privilege to practice in the State of Virginia under the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association required upon start.
- BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associate's Degree (ADN); must complete BLS within 5 years of start date.
