Key Responsibilities
The Student Retention Specialist (SRS) plays a crucial role in supporting students who may not have demonstrated readiness for college-level coursework in mathematics or English language arts and reading, particularly those enrolled in industrial trades programs. The SRS will deliver targeted instruction addressing the TSIA2 content areas and will create a variety of educational materials, including printable and interactive worksheets, tutorials, and instructional videos. Additionally, the SRS will guide students in utilizing a comprehensive library of resources to bridge any skill gaps prior to their assessments.
Qualifications Required
Candidates must possess the ability to instruct and tutor in mathematical concepts relevant to the TSIA2, demonstrating a strong grasp of the subject matter. Effective communication and facilitation of learning are essential, along with the capability to tailor instruction for small groups of students. Maintaining confidentiality is a critical requirement.
