Role Summary:
The Registered Nurse will deliver direct patient care at a proficient level, adhering to established standards of practice and the organization’s mission and values. The role involves monitoring patients to ensure a safe environment, optimizing health outcomes, and utilizing resources effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare the clinical environment prior to procedures, ensuring patient orientation and assessment are conducted, and safety checklists are completed.
- Respond to critical situations by applying nursing protocols and standards of care.
- Manage high-pressure scenarios with efficiency and composure.
- Provide nursing care in a technically advanced setting.
- Assess educational needs of patients and families, delivering tailored education based on age, culture, and health conditions.
- Demonstrate critical thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
- Required Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
- Required Licensure/Certification: Active State Registered Nurse (RN) license. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and any relevant life support certification as required for the position.
- Experience: Minimum of 6 months of RN experience or completion of the UCHealth Fellowship program.
- Additional Requirements: PALS certification within 6 months of hire.
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, valid prior to start date.
