PACU Registered Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate PACU Registered Nurse to join our team at i4 Search Group. As a PACU RN, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective recovery of patients after anesthesia.
Job Summary:The PACU Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the post-anesthesia care unit. This includes assessing patients before surgery, ensuring that operative and informed consents are signed and in order, and frequently checking PACU patients to monitor their vital signs and other post-surgical factors.
Responsibilities:- Assess patients before surgery to identify potential risks and develop a plan for their care.
- Ensure that operative and informed consents are signed and in order, and that patients are informed about the procedure and any potential risks.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and other post-surgical factors, and take action to address any concerns or issues that arise.
- Initiate IVs and administer medications as needed, and provide patients with information about their care and any necessary follow-up appointments.
- Review each patient's medical history and take note of important information, such as allergies and medical conditions.
- Perform post-operative tasks, such as changing bandages and giving patients medications, and provide patients with information about their care and any necessary follow-up appointments.
- Answer patient questions and ensure that they are kept comfortable and informed throughout their recovery.
- Monitor patients for change in their condition and report any changes to the physician.
- Perform intervention duties in cases of postoperative emergencies, and provide patients with information about their care and any necessary follow-up appointments.
- Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, anesthesiologists, technologists, and other hospital personnel as necessary to provide quality patient care.
- Associates Degree in Nursing required; Nursing Diploma or by endorsement.
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates, preferred for experienced RNs.
- One year experience preferred.
- Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty.
- RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or valid RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact.
