Position Overview:

We are in search of a Director of Finance to spearhead our financial reporting, accounting, and consolidation initiatives. This role demands a seasoned expert with a CPA certification or extensive experience in auditing and GAAP compliance. The Director of Finance will supervise the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable teams, ensuring strict financial controls and supporting high-level strategic decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting and Consolidation:

  • Lead the monthly and annual closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting.
  • Prepare annual financial statements and manage the external audit process.
  • Oversee tax preparation and manage tax audits.
  • Provide guidance on foreign exchange transactions, inter-company matching, and eliminations.

Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure adherence to GAAP and other regulatory standards.
  • Prepare estimates for insurance and audit data.
  • Monitor and report on credit agreements and financial covenants.

Accounts Payable and Treasury Management:

  • Manage and review the preparation of weekly and monthly accounts payable.
  • Approve all company payments and oversee partner payments and reconciliations.
  • Supervise credit card programs, invoice, and expense approvals.
  • Maintain stringent controls over expenses.

Accounts Receivable Management:

  • Monitor accounts receivable activities, including marketplace, merchant account, and wire reconciliations.
  • Administer merchant accounts such as PayPal and Braintree.

Financial Systems and Payroll Oversight:

  • Administer financial systems such as NetSuite and Solution 7, ensuring optimal functionality and security.
  • Provide limited oversight of payroll processes, ensuring timely funding and reconciliation of payroll accounts, and performing variance analysis.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Preferred industry experience in Logistics, E-commerce, and Manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in financial roles, ideally within a similarly scaled organization.
  • Strong technical skills in accounting, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
  • Experience with financial system administration and a solid understanding of internal controls.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to strategize and solve problems effectively.
