The Patient Care Coordinator I plays a vital role in supporting the administrative functions of our medical practice. This position involves welcoming and assisting patients and visitors, ensuring a smooth and efficient clinic experience. Prior experience in a medical office setting is advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to established departmental policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Schedule patient appointments in accordance with established protocols, gathering necessary demographic and medical information.
- Complete the patient registration process, including verifying insurance coverage and preparing necessary documentation.
- Demonstrate knowledge of insurance plans and assist patients with inquiries.
- Support the organization of medical records as needed.
