POSITION SUMMARY
The Engineering Project Coordinator plays a crucial role in generating precise, timely, and comprehensive proposals for automated welding, cutting, and marking systems. This position involves conducting thorough research to identify technical solutions that align with customized system requirements based on inquiries from Sales and their clientele. The Coordinator will also ensure that the company's interests and potential risks are effectively managed throughout the pre-sales and project fulfillment stages.
This role encompasses responsibilities that involve non-manual work related to the management policies or general operations of the organization. The Coordinator will operate under general supervision, engaging in specialized or technical tasks that necessitate specific training, experience, or expertise. This individual will be empowered to make independent decisions while executing assigned responsibilities.
Direct interaction with customers and Sales teams is a fundamental aspect of this role.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will oversee two to four direct reports, providing guidance and support to a broader team of twenty to thirty employees.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Material Science Engineering or a related field is required.
A minimum of five years of experience in product management, engineering, or applications roles is essential.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- At least three years of supervisory experience is mandatory.
- 2 to 4 years of experience in product sales, engineering, customer service, or applications within a custom product setting.
- Strong organizational capabilities are essential.
- Demonstrated customer service orientation, proactive attitude, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to write and present technical product and service information to various stakeholders.
- Capability to research and resolve technical challenges related to standard product solutions and unique customer specifications.
- Ability to analyze contractual obligations and assess proposed systems against those commitments.
- Strong analytical skills for project cost evaluation and analysis.
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to balance daily tasks while progressing on long-term projects.
- A self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience in specifying, operating, designing, or maintaining industrial production and automation equipment.
