Position Overview

Registered Nurse Supervisor

Compensation based on experience, with additional nursing premiums including $2.50/hr for night shifts and $1 for weekend shifts.

Part-Time Night Shifts from 10pm to 6:15am

Masonic Villages of Pennsylvania - Warminster Campus is actively seeking a Registered Nurse Supervisor for a part-time night position.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Registered Nurse Supervisor, you will embody our Mission of Love by ensuring that our residents receive care that is safe, compassionate, timely, and appropriate. This includes maintaining necessary competencies and skills through ongoing education in all relevant areas, and assisting residents in achieving their optimal physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.

Your duties will include:

  • Assisting with staff scheduling and covering shifts as directed by the Executive Director and/or Director of Nursing to ensure adequate staffing levels.
  • Providing holiday coverage as necessary to maintain staffing adequacy.
  • Spending appropriate time on the unit to support employees and customers, facilitate problem-solving, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Recognizing and praising employees for their contributions, particularly in your areas of responsibility.
  • Delegating responsibilities to nursing charge personnel with the necessary authority and accountability to perform their duties.
  • Fulfilling nursing roles as needed during staffing shortages.
  • Collaborating with the Director of Nursing and other management personnel regarding nursing staff recruitment, interviews, and selection processes.
  • Participating in the interview process for internal candidates through our structured selection process.
  • Supporting the mentoring program for new staff members.
  • Ensuring timely completion of Performance Appraisal Conferences (PAC) for nursing staff.
  • Implementing corrective actions in accordance with the Masonic Village Personnel Policy Handbook and recommending terminations as necessary.
  • Contributing to quality improvement initiatives, including nursing quality assurance.
  • Monitoring documentation in geriatric resident care practices to ensure compliance with established standards.
  • Serving as the facility's Infection Preventionist.
  • Maintaining certification in Infection Prevention and Control.
  • Leading and coordinating quarterly Infection Control Committee meetings.
  • Addressing concerns, complaints, and grievances from employees, residents, or families/responsible parties, and taking appropriate steps to resolve them in collaboration with relevant personnel.
  • Coordinating resident clinical care and participating in interdisciplinary care planning.
  • Acting as a liaison between departments and communicating with primary care providers to ensure resident care needs are met.
  • Assisting with preparedness for PA Department of Health surveys.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (Registered Nurse).
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
  • Two years of recent experience in a long-term care setting, including satisfactory experience in a leadership role.
  • Current knowledge of state and federal regulations related to long-term care.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are essential.
  • CPR certification is required prior to or upon hire.
