Masonic Villages of Pennsylvania - Warminster Campus is actively seeking a Registered Nurse Supervisor for a part-time night position.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Registered Nurse Supervisor, you will embody our Mission of Love by ensuring that resident care is delivered in a safe, compassionate, timely, and appropriate manner. This involves maintaining the necessary competencies and skills through ongoing education in all relevant areas. Your role will include supporting residents in achieving their optimal physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.

Your duties will include:

  • Assisting with staff scheduling and covering shifts as directed by the Executive Director or Director of Nursing to ensure adequate staffing levels.
  • Providing holiday coverage as needed to maintain sufficient staffing.
  • Spending appropriate time on the unit to support employees and identify areas for improvement.
  • Recognizing and praising employees for their good work, especially in your assigned areas.
  • Delegating responsibilities to nursing charge personnel with the necessary authority and accountability.
  • Fulfilling nursing roles as required during staffing shortages.
  • Collaborating with the Director of Nursing and other managers on nursing staff recruitment and selection processes.
  • Participating in the interview process for internal candidates for open positions.
  • Supporting the mentoring program for new hires.
  • Ensuring timely completion of Performance Appraisal Conferences for nursing staff.
  • Implementing corrective actions in accordance with Masonic Village Personnel Policy Handbook and recommending terminations when necessary.
  • Contributing to quality improvement initiatives, including nursing quality assurance.
  • Monitoring documentation in geriatric resident care practices to ensure compliance with established standards.
  • Serving as the facility Infection Preventionist.
  • Maintaining certification in Infection Prevention and Control.
  • Leading and coordinating quarterly Infection Control Committee meetings.
  • Addressing concerns, complaints, and grievances from employees, residents, or families, and working with relevant parties to resolve issues.
  • Coordinating resident clinical care and participating in interdisciplinary care planning.
  • Acting as a liaison between departments and communicating with primary care providers to meet resident care needs.
  • Assisting with preparedness for PA Department of Health surveys.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (Registered Nurse).
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
  • Minimum of two years of recent experience in a long-term care setting, including satisfactory leadership experience.
  • Current knowledge of state and federal regulations related to long-term care.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are essential.
  • CPR certification is required prior to or upon hire.
