About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO. As a key member of our Manufacturing Operations team, you will be responsible for driving the qualification of membrane processes and products for high-volume production. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the site meets its quality and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create quality documentation around product and processes, including benchmarking against existing facilities and preparing for transfer and startup in the new Colorado Springs manufacturing facility.
  • Develop and implement Statistical Process Control (SPC) in the new manufacturing site.
  • Act as the site focal point on quality-related issues and involve appropriate site functions to address concerns.
  • Provide leadership to the Change Control Management Board (CCMB) and establish continuity and ownership to ensure changes are made methodically in support of our quality requirements.
  • Lead Material Review Board (MRB) meetings and handle lot disposition in the new site.
  • Lead Quality Notification (QN) investigations for both internal and external customers using the 8D approach.
  • Work independently and in a team to achieve quality initiatives and find solutions to complex problems.
  • Be an active member of all external and internal audits.
  • Work with external customers in responding to quality issues.
  • Ensure compliance with our quality management systems.
  • Support the material quality team in overseeing the quality performance of our suppliers.
  • Regularly collect, analyze, and interpret manufacturing data to drive quality improvements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 6-10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a significant amount of that time successfully leading quality and/or continuous improvement-related initiatives.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Quality Management Systems (QMS), ISO 9001 or similar, Statistical Process Control, Audit, Change Control, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Qualification & Validation processes, Six Sigma methodologies, and effective customer interaction.
  • A collaborative leader that inspires cross-functional teams, prioritizing and driving for execution.
  • Experience in lean manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certifications.
  • Profound experience in statistical data analysis, capable of utilizing data for informed engineering and quality-related decision-making.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
