Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Thies & Talle Management, Inc. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, repairs, and upkeep of our apartment communities. This includes maintaining the lawn and surrounding property, as well as ensuring the overall appearance and functionality of our buildings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including but not limited to: lawn care, snow removal, and appliance repair
  • Conduct repairs and maintenance on buildings, including but not limited to: plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work
  • Ensure the overall appearance and functionality of our buildings, including but not limited to: painting, rescreening windows, and repairing doors
  • Perform snow and ice removal, including but not limited to: snowblowing, shoveling, and applying salt
  • Replace unit locks on rental units as necessary and maintain security of premises
  • Coordinate and oversee work of sub-contractors hired by the company
  • Perform small motor repair and maintenance on equipment used in maintaining the buildings and grounds
  • Purchase approved supplies and materials needed to perform maintenance duties
  • Prepare and maintain paperwork, including but not limited to: invoices, service requests, and timesheets
Requirements:
  • High school diploma and two to three years of experience as a general maintenance mechanic or related occupation
  • Driver's license and transportation required
  • Ability to read, analyze, and complete documentation required by city, county, state or federal agencies
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents and outside agencies
  • Ability to work in cramped positions for extended periods of time, work on hands and knees, and reach with hands and arms and balance
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
Working Conditions:

The working condition characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works in outside weather conditions. The noise level of the work environment is usually moderate.

May come into contact with unsanitary conditions in unoccupied or occupied homes of residents and contact with insects and/or rodents.

The position has the potential to come into contact with human waste (plugged toilets) and noxious fumes (natural gas).

Pay Rate:

Per Hour

Low: $20.00

High: $22.00
