We are currently seeking an experienced Certified Recovery Support Specialist to contribute to our mission.

Key Responsibilities:
Full-Time Position

1st Shift / 8 hours daily (Monday to Friday with occasional evening/weekend work as needed)

Certification as a CPRS in the relevant state is required.

Maintain a clean driving record to operate a 15-passenger van.

Establish genuine peer-to-peer connections with clients enrolled in CCG's addiction treatment services, offering recovery education and support as they navigate various recovery phases (pre-recovery engagement, recovery initiation, stabilization, and maintenance).

Lead weekly peer support groups that encourage self-advocacy, providing clients with a platform to express their views, share experiences, and communicate preferences.

Collaborate with program leadership, providers, and support staff to foster an environment where clients' perspectives and experiences are valued and understood.

Guide clients in developing self-directed recovery plans that highlight their strengths and recovery objectives, particularly for those recovering from opioid addiction, facilitating their transition to community-supported recovery.

Identify and support connections to community resources (recovery communities, educational, vocational, social, cultural, spiritual resources, mutual self-help, professional services, etc.) that align with clients' personal goals and interests.

Work alongside Center Directors and Clinical Supervisors to create a peer-informed outreach strategy that enhances patient recruitment and fosters positive relationships between CCG and community members, while working to reduce stigma associated with addiction treatment.

Engage in planning and implementation activities to ensure that Peer Recovery Support Services are integral to the treatment service delivery.

Collaborate with the Admissions/Intake team to support, monitor, and advocate for clients, promoting self-advocacy and identifying barriers during the Intake and Orientation process.

Provide peer recovery support services to clients exhibiting signs of disengagement, those requiring additional support, and those interested in reinforcing their recovery.

Maintain effective communication with staff, leadership, clients, and the broader community.

Document all services accurately and promptly, adhering to required standards and regulations.

Ensure thorough and timely documentation as mandated by CARF and state standards.

All interactions must be documented in the designated systems within 24 hours of service delivery.

Conduct evidence-based programming for prevention and resilient families, both onsite and virtually, including workshops and educational seminars.

Connect clients and their families with community resources for recovery support.

Ensure all clients at risk for overdose receive naloxone training during treatment.

Facilitate completion of routine assessments as required.

Act as a liaison between alumni, Clinical Supervisors, Center Directors, and Practice Managers.

Engage with new clients during their initial week of treatment.

Maintain a utilization contact/productivity expectation of 70%.

Conduct brief one-on-one sessions.

Participate in Clinical Team Meetings.

Facilitate weekly educational sessions, either in-person or via webinar, covering topics such as transitioning from Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) to Outpatient (OP) services, the importance of ongoing treatment, building recovery capital, and connecting with recovery support.

Reach out to clients who miss scheduled clinical or medical services to encourage re-engagement in the treatment program.

Contact alumni during the first 90 days post-treatment and document interactions.

Attend daily IOP groups to support the clinical group process, focusing on recovery tools and resources, while sharing a lived recovery experience.

Maintain a list of alumni willing to meet clients at sober support meetings.

Provide recovery support by engaging with clients struggling to maintain abstinence or remain in treatment, offering encouragement, motivation, and support.

Administer lifesaving NARCAN in overdose situations and utilize CPR/AED in cardiac emergencies.

Complete continuing education as required to maintain certification as a Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist and stay informed on trends and issues related to wellness and recovery.

Assist in linking clients to community recovery resources.

Conduct phone contacts and schedule meetings with clients residing in sober living homes to provide additional community resources.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

A minimum of one year of full-time or part-time, paid or voluntary work experience is necessary.

Must possess a deep understanding and respect for the unique paths to recovery and have a working knowledge of the drug and alcohol treatment system, demonstrating a commitment to the recovery community.

Must have three years of continuous abstinence.

Licenses and Other Required Credentials:
Completion of training requirements for a Certified Peer Specialist.

A valid driver's license is required.
