Job Summary

Nuvance Health is seeking a skilled Lead Pharmacist - Float Pool to support our pharmacy system by providing coverage to various practice locations. As a Lead Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and safe dispensing of medications to patients.

Responsibilities
  • Verify orders and dispense medications to patients with efficiency and safety.
  • Provide up-to-date and clinically relevant drug information to colleagues within and outside the department pharmacy.
  • Participate in clinical and operational initiatives to support safe, evidence-based, and cost-effective medication management.
  • Oversee and monitor tasks of pharmacy technicians and intern pharmacists.
  • Demonstrate current competency, knowledge, and skills to comply with federal, state, and regulatory standards.
  • Precept PGY1 pharmacy residents and pharmacy school students in the practice setting.
Requirements
  • Doctor of Pharmacy or BS with 5 years of pharmacy experience.
  • Licensed RPh in CT or NY and in the second state within 6 months of hire.
  • Vaccine certified and registered vaccinator in CT & NY.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PGY1 residency.
Work Environment

This is a full-time position with a standard 40-hour workweek. The work schedule is varied based on the needs of the facility.
