Bridgewell is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Classroom Aide/Driver 2 to join our team. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and successful transportation of individuals with disabilities to and from day service programs.
Key Responsibilities- Transport individuals safely to and from day service programs as their designated Driver.
- Develop, implement, and supervise training programs designed to meet each individual's unique needs.
- Provide case management support to designated individuals, including data collection and documentation of medical data or target behaviors.
- Participate in all general programmatic duties, including arrivals, breaks, lunches, and departures.
- Assist with the upkeep and maintenance of the program, including cleaning schedules and reporting any maintenance issues.
- Protect each individual's rights and maintain confidentiality of any information relative to people.
- Complete administrative duties as assigned, including maintaining certifications and participating in required meetings.
- Operate a 12-passenger van and/or a handicap-accessible van, adhering to all federal, state, and local laws.
- Maintain knowledge of routes and locations of all houses, day facilities, and emergency locations.
- Complete a quick vehicle safety checklist before beginning each route and report any issues to your supervisor immediately.
- A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Must be 20.5 years of age or older, with at least 3 years of driving experience.
- Must have a valid MA driver's license and a good driving record history with no more than 2 moving violations in the last three years.
- Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
- Ability to interact with patience and sensitivity in all contact with individuals, residential staff, parents, and facility staff.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to climb stairs.
- The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
- Must be able to drive a 12-passenger van and/or a handicap-accessible van.
- Must have a normal range of eyesight with or without corrective lenses.
- Must have a normal range of hearing with or without corrective equipment.
- Must be able to climb in and out of vehicles.
