About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mobile Diesel Technician to join our team at Ryder. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our truck fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on diesel engines, including oil changes, brake and tire work
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues, including electrical systems and advanced engine repairs
  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential issues and recommend repairs
  • Work independently and as part of a team to meet maintenance deadlines and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with customers and colleagues
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices through ongoing training and education
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or technical certification in diesel engine repair or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A or B
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a physically demanding environment
