Insight Global is seeking a skilled Stormwater Management Engineer to join our team. This role is pivotal in designing and executing effective stormwater management systems aimed at mitigating flooding and safeguarding infrastructure. Your proficiency in hydraulic modeling and design tools, particularly HECRAS and Hydraflow Hydrograph, will be crucial for the successful delivery of projects. You will collaborate with another drainage engineer to oversee the drainage design across various initiatives. Utilizing modeling techniques, you will assess drainage and runoff for both new developments and renovations. While site visits may be necessary, the majority of your work will be conducted in an office environment. Compensation for this position ranges from $100,000 to $125,000, contingent on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hydraulic Modeling and Analysis: Employ HECRAS and Hydraflow Hydrograph to develop precise hydraulic models for diverse drainage scenarios.
  • Flow Pattern Analysis: Evaluate flow dynamics, water levels, and flood risks to enhance drainage system designs.
  • Stormwater Management: Implement effective strategies for managing stormwater.
  • Floodplain Mapping: Conduct floodplain assessments to inform design decisions.
  • Infrastructure Design: Contribute to the design of infrastructure that supports effective drainage.
  • Erosion Control: Develop solutions to prevent erosion in vulnerable areas.
  • Project Management: Oversee project timelines and deliverables.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all designs meet industry standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Essential Skills:
    • Extensive experience in drainage design.
    • Familiarity with Department of Transportation (TXDOT) standards.
    • Proficient in MicroStation, Open Roads, and Civil 3D.
    • Experience with HECRAS.
    • Proficient in AutoCAD.
  • Preferred Experience:
    • 5+ years in drainage design.
    • 2-3 years of experience with specific software tools.
