Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist I to join our team at the County of Los Angeles, CA. As a Clinical Psychologist I, you will be responsible for providing a wide range of psychological services to clients, including assessment, treatment, and research.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to diagnose and treat clients with psychiatric and co-occurring disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address client needs
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy to clients
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment teams to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Participate in professional staff conferences to discuss psychological assessment methods, techniques, and results
Requirements
  • Doctorate degree from an accredited college or university in psychology, educational psychology, education with the field of specialization in counseling psychology, or in a discipline deemed equivalent by the State of California Department of Consumer Affairs, Board of Psychology
  • License to practice as a psychologist in the State of California
  • Experience in performing psychiatric diagnostic evaluations and individual, group, and family therapy
Preferred Qualifications
  • Postdoctoral degree experience in performing psychiatric diagnostic evaluations and individual, group, and family therapy
  • Experience working in outpatient services, juvenile justice, justice-related court services, or specialized foster care services
