Job Summary:
Join Christus Health as a Registered Nurse in our Acute Orthopedic Unit, where you will provide exceptional care to patients undergoing orthopedic, spine, neurological, plastic, and trauma-related surgeries. Our 36-bed unit operates at an accelerated pace, caring for post-operative patients, trauma stepdown, and patients admitted through the ED. As a member of our team, you will work closely with Beaumont Bone and Joint, Physical Therapy, and an in-house Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive post-surgical care. We offer flexible scheduling and a dynamic environment that promotes education and leadership among our team.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Prescribe, delegate, coordinate, supervise, and evaluate patient teaching and the activities of ancillary nursing personnel.
- Provide direct and indirect care to patients, adhering to the standards of professional nursing.
Requirements:
- Graduate of a State Board accredited School of Nursing or equivalent.
- 1 year of RN acute hospital experience preferred.
- Current RN license or permit to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas.
- American Heart Association BLS – within two (2) weeks of employment.
