We are seeking a skilled Concrete Estimator to join our team at Botello Builders Corporation, a leading commercial concrete subcontractor company. As a Concrete Estimator, you will play a crucial role in preparing detailed estimates for Tilt Wall and Flatwork projects, working closely with clients, design teams, and vendors to craft proposals that meet our clients' needs.
Key Responsibilities- Estimate Preparation: Perform detailed reviews of construction plans, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare accurate estimates for Tilt Wall and Flatwork projects.
- Tilt Wall Construction Expertise: Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of Tilt Wall construction methods and techniques.
- Project Estimation: Use takeoff software and MS Office products to prepare project estimates, including material and equipment quotes from suppliers.
- Bid Preparation: Prepare concrete bids and submit them to clients, ensuring timely and effective communication throughout the process.
- Client and Vendor Communication: Consult with clients, vendors, or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates, resolve issues, and negotiate contracts.
- Communication Skills: Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of workers involved in the project.
- Teamwork and Negotiation: Demonstrate strong relationships and teamwork skills, with the ability to negotiate contracts and resolve issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Technical Skills: Possess a strong understanding of the preconstruction processes, bid process, and Microsoft software programs such as Word and Excel.
- Experience: 4 to 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of the commercial concrete subcontracting industry.
- Language Skills: Bilingual in Spanish is strongly preferred but not required.
