Job Description

ACS Commercial Services, LLC is seeking a skilled Estimator to join our team. As an Estimator, you will be responsible for gathering data to prepare accurate pricing for commercial services and construction projects.

The ideal candidate will have prior estimating and quoting experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review customer documents and understand the scope of work to quote and invoice.
  • Execute and analyze quote processes.
  • Obtain pricing for materials.
  • Prepare cost analysis recapitulating material, labor, equipment, subcontractor, and overhead costs incurred.
  • Inform immediate supervisors of any observed inaccuracies or omissions in quote items or computer database.
  • Separate documents and maintain files and records in order as directed.
  • Professional telephone and email efficiency and strong effective communication skills and demeanor.
  • Review and process NTE's (Not to Exceed) amounts in accordance with ACS process and procedures, and contractual agreements.

Qualifications:

  • College degree preferred.
  • At minimum, high school diploma or general education degree (GED) or one to 12 months of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be able to type at least 45 words per minute.
  • Language skills: Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Write simple correspondence. Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
  • Mathematical skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret graphs.
  • Reasoning ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or verbal instructions. Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Computer skills: Knowledge of word processing software, spreadsheet software, email software, and the use of the Internet.
