Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Feed Mill Production Associate to join our team at Alaska Garden & Pet Supply Inc. This role is responsible for manufacturing high-quality feed in a timely manner, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Bag and sew bags of feed produced from the mill.
  • Perform daily cleaning tasks inside the feed mill and load-out areas, as well as the outside feed storage area and computer area.
  • Order and manage weekly feed label inventory.
  • Display a high level of initiative, effort, and commitment towards completing assigned tasks.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
  • 0-3 years of experience in a feed mill environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding, receive instructions, and follow procedures.
  • Preferred: Lock and Out Tag Out Certified (in-house certification).
  • Preferred: Forklift Trained (in-house certification).
  • Willingness to work in a non-smoking facility.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds repeatedly and up to 100 pounds on occasion.
  • Requires high levels of physical activity for 8-10 hours a day.
  • Position requires standing/walking on hard surfaces for extended periods.
  • Ability to bend, crouch, reach overhead, and work in confined spaces.
  • Ability to work in a dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures.
Working Relationship

Works closely with the Feed Mill Manager and other feed mill and warehouse employees. Requires ability to work as a team player with all company employees and management.
