{"h1": "Construction Teacher Position", "p": "The Department of Corrections is seeking a qualified Construction Teacher to develop and implement a program of professional educational services in Multi-Craft Core Curriculum (MC3) to students in order to meet their assessed individual vocational needs. The successful candidate will provide training to others and engage in specialized instruction and projects upon request.

Responsibilities include completing all required documentation of student assessment/progress and other reporting requirements in a timely manner, monitoring and managing student behavior, attending staffing and meetings, and serving as an effective interdisciplinary team member.

This position is in pay schedule/range (13-04) with an annual salary of $25.97 - $31.82, plus excellent benefits.

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States (i.e. a citizen or national of the U.S., a lawful permanent resident, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. without DOC sponsorship) at the time of application.

The Department of Corrections may conduct pre-employment drug screens. Any applicant who is offered employment in a position which requires a pre-employment drug screen must pass the screen as a contingency of employment.

The Department of Corrections will conduct criminal background checks on applicants prior to selection. Upon hire, all new DOC employees are subject to fingerprinting.

Remote work is not an option for this position.

Qualifications include a Journeyman or Master's License in one of the trades, a minimum of 2 years (4,000 hours) of occupational experience in a target job for the program or programs being taught, and a High School Diploma.
