Clinical Nurse Specialist

As a member of the Critical Care Float Pool at Albany Medical Center, you will have the opportunity to gain and practice critical care skills in various areas, including Neuro-Surgical Trauma ICU, Medical ICU, Coronary Care Unit, Cardiovascular ICU, and the progressive critical care unit. This role involves implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing treatments and procedures, and documenting treatment as required. Other responsibilities include assessing and evaluating patient needs, collaborating with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients, and maintaining standards of professional nursing.
Requirements:
- Graduate of a professional academic nursing program
- Current NYS Registered Nurse license
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- 1-3 years of previous clinical RN experience in Progressive Care or ICU
- Excellent communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills
