POSITION SUMMARY:

DICK'S Sporting Goods is on the lookout for a dedicated and people-oriented leader to manage store operations effectively.

The Retail Operations Leader is devoted to their team, customers, and the local community. They are responsible for enhancing business performance and achieving operational objectives while focusing on coaching and development to ensure a seamless shopping experience for all patrons.

  • Actively participates in the recruitment and selection process, building a strong store team that reflects a variety of backgrounds, skills, perspectives, and experiences.
  • Boosts sales and profitability by prioritizing customer satisfaction and utilizing data analysis to identify customer and business trends; manages expenses and workforce budgeting efficiently.
  • Ensures that visual merchandising standards are upheld, and that the store environment is clean, organized, and safe for all.
  • Encourages community engagement and fosters relationships with local stakeholders.
  • Minimizes store loss by adhering to all safety, loss prevention, and cash-handling protocols.
  • Leads the team with a focus on people, building trust, listening actively, and investing time in team development.
  • Promotes a culture of coaching and continuous learning in everyday leadership practices.
  • Creates an inclusive atmosphere where all individuals (team members and customers) feel secure, valued, and respected.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Retail Store Manager or 5 years in a related management/customer service role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Exceptional people management skills with a talent for developing team members.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
