Job Summary

As a seasoned General Manager, you will serve as the primary strategic business leader of the property, responsible for driving all aspects of the operation, including guest and employee satisfaction, human resources, financial performance, sales, and revenue generation. Your goal will be to deliver a return on investment to both Marriott International and property ownership, while ensuring the successful execution of service strategy and initiatives to meet or exceed guest expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute business plans to maximize property customer satisfaction, profitability, and market share.
  • Lead the property leadership team in strategy execution and guide their individual professional development.
  • Verify that sales engines are leveraged and initiate independent and proactive sales activities to generate demand.
  • Build strong relationships with local officials, businesses, and customers to drive business growth and community engagement.
  • Manage and develop a cohesive and high-performance Executive Committee to drive positive results and improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, safety, operations, labor, and Marriott brand product and service standards.
Requirements
  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 8 years' experience in management operations, sales and marketing, finance and accounting, or related professional area.
  • OR 4-year bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 6 years' experience in management operations, sales and marketing, finance and accounting, or related professional area.
  • Preferred: General Manager experience in limited or full-service property.
