Your Role as a Hazardous Materials Transportation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Class B CDL Equipment Operator for Hazmat & Emergency Response. You will operate a variety of light and heavy-duty trucks and work equipment at customer sites, including vacuum trailers, roll-off trailers, van trailers, box trucks, and high-powered vacuum loaders. Your primary responsibility is to perform driving and non-driving duties related to hazardous waste cleanup.

Responsibilities:
  • Prioritize health and safety by adhering to all safe work practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers as needed in a collaborative team environment.
  • Safely operate Class B trucks and ensure proper loading and unloading of materials.
  • Maintain customer satisfaction during service interactions.
  • Ensure vehicles are properly placarded according to company and DOT regulations.
  • Complete daily logs, time sheets, and various reports accurately.
  • Comply with all local, state (provincial), and federal compliance regulations and rules.
  • Adhere to corporate operating guidelines and procedures for safe vehicle operation.
  • Follow company environmental health and safety operating guidelines diligently.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
Qualifications:
  • Valid Class B CDL license.
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission vehicle.
  • Obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsements within 90 days of employment.
  • Proficiency in using various mobile devices.
  • Physical ability to perform job requirements effectively.
  • Successful completion of a background check, drug test, and physical examination.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous commercial driver experience.
  • Existing Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.
  • Prior experience handling hazardous materials.
  • Background in manual labor tasks.
