Pharmacist Job Description

CentraState Healthcare System is seeking a skilled Pharmacist to join our team. As a Pharmacist, you will provide quality pharmaceutical services to patients, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals in accordance with established professional standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Operational: Process orders in a timely and accurate manner within established department standards, consistently demonstrating good aseptic technique and preparing sterile preparations in accordance with USP 797 and USP 800 requirements.
  • Clinical: Perform clinical interventions based on P&T approved protocol and clinical/professional judgment, actively supplying drug information and consultations to physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Quality/Performance Improvement: Actively participate in quality and performance improvement initiatives in the department, assisting the Lead Pharmacist and Manager with operational needs and projects.
  • Regulatory/Professional Standards: Comply with regulatory and professional standards, providing recommendations on improvement in this area.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.
  • Work Experience: 1 year of hospital experience preferred.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Pharmacist License in the state of New Jersey.
  • Required Knowledge and Skills: Strong professional, organizational, and interpersonal skills to effectively relate with all members of the healthcare team and patients, proficiency in Word and Excel.
