Role Summary:

We are seeking a Full-Time Certified Nursing Assistant for our Day Shift Team (7a - 7p & EOW).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide essential patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, blood glucose levels, and fluid intake/output.
  • Assist patients with personal hygiene and daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, and mobility.
  • Report any significant changes in patients' physical or emotional conditions to nursing staff.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in patient rooms and common areas.
  • Support patients in using restroom facilities, including bedpans.
  • Facilitate patient mobility, utilizing walkers and wheelchairs as necessary.
  • Assist with feeding and ensure adequate fluid intake as directed.
  • Reposition patients as needed for comfort and care.
  • Ensure patient cleanliness by checking and changing linens as required.
  • Utilize proper patient identification protocols.

Qualifications:

Essential Skills:

  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility in scheduling, including availability for weekends and holidays.

Educational Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.

Certifications:

  • Current American Heart Association HeartSaver CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Licensure:

  • Must be registered with the Virginia Board of Nursing Aide Registry. Candidates with CNA licenses from other states must obtain Virginia certification within 30 days of hire.

Experience:

  • Preferred: One year of experience in a similar role or related clinical experience.
